Install Sproutkit

Three steps. Five minutes. Then you're discovering leads and shipping demo sites.

Minimum system requirements

Sproutkit runs comfortably on most computers from the last 5 years. Here's what we've tested.

macOS

OS: macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
Chip: Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4)
RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
Disk: 300 MB free space
Network: Internet connection required

Windows

OS: Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11
Chip: 64-bit Intel / AMD processor
RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
Disk: 300 MB free space
Network: Internet connection required

Note: an Intel Mac build is on the roadmap. If you're on a pre-Apple-Silicon Mac, email hello@sproutkit.app.

Open the installer

Sproutkit isn't yet code-signed by Apple/Microsoft, so first launch needs one extra click.

On Mac

Open the downloaded .dmg file
Drag Sproutkit into your Applications folder
In Finder, right-click Sproutkit → Open (don't double-click the first time)
You'll see "Apple cannot verify..." — click Open anyway. After this, double-clicking works as normal.

On Windows

Run the downloaded .exe installer
Windows SmartScreen may say "Microsoft Defender prevented an unrecognised app". Click More info → Run anyway.
Choose your install location and click Install

These warnings appear because we're a small startup and signing certificates cost hundreds of dollars per year. The app is safe — it's open about exactly which APIs it calls, and you supply your own keys. Code-signing is on the roadmap.

Add your API keys

Sproutkit uses your own Anthropic, Google Places and Vercel accounts so you stay in control of costs and data.

Anthropic API key

Powers AI site generation and the in-app chat. Add a small balance (~£5) to start.

Used to discover real local businesses. Google gives every account £160 of free credit per month, which is enough for thousands of searches.

Used to deploy demo websites you generate. Free tier is 100 deployments per day.

Find your first lead

Open Sproutkit, click Leads, drop a pin on the map, pick a category, hit Discover. Pick a lead, click Build website. Watch your first demo site go live in under a minute.
